What Our Members Think of Nevada Western Dressage Association (NVWDA)
The 2-day WDAA-rated Nevada shows that have large “R” judges provide extra value, and most importantly, they have been the most welcoming and warm-spirited platform for my daughter and me to participate in to date. We reside in the St. George, Utah area, so traveling costs, including overnight boarding and show logistics, must be seamless and value-worthy for us.
I am a lifelong equestrian and a native Nevadan who has been showing and developing in the western dressage discipline for over four years. I look forward to the opportunity to participate in NVWDA’s expanding calendar of 2026 events throughout the state of Nevada and Southern UT Region.
The training methods used in Western Dressage have greatly improved my Thoroughbred’s connection and willingness to move off of her hind quarters. I look forward to more opportunities to attend clinics, workshops, and social events now that we are an official Nevada State Affiliate!
Hope 4 Hooves / Silver State Western Dressage is thrilled to launch our 2026 Live Show Series under the recently formed Nevada Western Dressage Association. Our partnership with NVWDA will serve as an invaluable alliance to support awareness for our personal “heart mission” to provide refuge for kill pen horses. At the same time, we work to develop re-home opportunities for these rescues.
Being a newer participant in the sport of Western Dressage, I am looking forward to expanding my WD riding experiences beyond the show ring, attending clinics, and fellowship events with my wife in the upcoming years.
Our daughters have absolutely taken to the sport of Western Dressage. The discipline has been a great compliment to their existing vaulting and barrel racing activities. I am thrilled to learn that the NVWDA has launched as a state affiliate, providing our kids with even more opportunities to pursue their riding goals in such a supportive atmosphere here in Nevada.
